Import and Export Declarations

If you export goods outside of the EU, you need an export document. You also need an import document if you import goods from outside the EU into the EU. Making both declarations at the same time will save you time and money and reduce the risk of error.
SGS has customs brokerage teams in several countries to ensure declarations and related work is completed before goods arrive at the border crossing.

TransitNet

We understand the complexities involved with transporting cargo by road, rail, and water and kept this in mind when we designed TransitNet. With TransitNet, SGS enables you to draw up transit documents throughout almost all of Europe.
SGS TransitNet is a unique web-based tool that lets you create your own transit documents, 24/7 without the need to apply for licenses and obtain large guarantee amounts from customs authorities in over 20 European countries, including the UK and all neighbouring countries.

VAT Services / Fiscal Representation

Fiscal Representation allows companies that are not registered in the EU to make an import declaration within the EU despite not being registered for VAT in the relevant country. Therefore, with fiscal representation, you can import and sell goods in the EU without paying import tax. The Fiscal Representative takes care of the import declaration and subsequent transactions, along with the VAT submission, EC sales listing and Intrastat return.
Importantly, this allows the goods to be released for free circulation within the EU at the port of entry, resulting in more flexible logistics and reduced times at customs clearance.

Excise

If you trade or transport goods that are subject to excise duties within the EU, you have to take the provisions set for excise duties into account. We prepare your excise duty returns and ensure that all the administration is processed correctly. Origins Documents
