• TVG-Zimsen was formed by the merger of The Bonded Warehouse plc (Tollvörugeymslan hf.) and Jes Zimsen Forwarding plc. Prior to this The Bonded Warehouse plc had taken over the operation of the General Bonded Warehouse plc in Akureyri. The company roots go all the way back to 1894 when merchant Jes Zimsen started an extensive commercial enterprise in Reykjavík.
