• Frachtcontor was founded in 1905 by Deutsches Kohlen-Depot (German Coal Depot), a Company which was established shortly after 1900 by a group of leading German shipowners, including Hamburg-American-Line, North German Lloyd and Rob. M. Sloman & Co. to transport coal to overseas depots for the bunker requirements of steamships.
