• Op 1 september 1996 werd de 1e Volvo FH12 afgeleverd aan HL Bruinsma, alwaar de grondslag was gelegd voor wat nu staat voor HL Bruinsma Trucking & Chartering BV. Al snel werden oude contacten vanuit uit het verleden opgepakt, waardoor al snel een 2e en 3e truck kon worden aangeschaft.
